Rugby Rocks

Client review
"SIVOXI® valued our ideas and creatively delivered our requirements."
Brief
Our client, an established rugby blog curator approached us to design and develop a rugby-focused social media platform, with the aim to expand on their immensely popular blog. Rugby is a popular sport that attracts millions of fans worldwide. Despite this, there was no dedicated social media platform for rugby fans to connect with each other and engage with the latest news and events in the rugby world. To address this need, we developed the first-ever rugby-focused social media platform.
Although the project was completed successfully, Rugby Rocks has taken an indefinite break due to the detrimental effect that the covid-19 pandemic had on the playing of sport during the global lockdown. We hope to see this amazing platform return to our screens in the near future.

Constraints and bespoke requirements
1
Developing a social media platform involves significant technical challenges, such as database management, scalability, and security. It was critical to ensure that the platform was capable of handling large volumes of traffic and users, while keeping their data secure.
2
The social media platform was designed and developed for mobile use only.
3
The social media platform had a number of bespoke requirements, including the integration of APIs, podcasts, live audio streaming and the introduction of "voice" blogs, influencers in the rugby world who provided unique content for users to engage with.

Custom web app
This social media platform was truly one of a kind and disrupted the rugby online social scene. Rugby fans had access to everything rugby-related in the palm of their hands and in one platform. They were able to feel part of a tight-knit community by staying up-to-date with the latest news, podcasts and fixtures all the while getting acquainted with influencers in the market, in the form of “voices”, who would share personal content with the community to engage with. Rugby fans could also cherry-pick the content they specifically wanted to view, creating a curated and meaningful experience for them.
Content Management System (CMS)
A CMS simplifies the process of creating and managing content for a website, enabling users to keep their website up-to-date and relevant. This can help to improve the user experience, attract and retain visitors, and increase the overall success of a website.
