Brief

Afrika Tikkun Bambanani is a non-profit organisation that specialises in the upliftment and education of young children in South Africa. We were tasked with designing and developing Bamba Learn, an early childhood education (ECD) platform for tablet devices that helps children reach their necessary educational milestones in a fun and effective way.

When using traditional education methods it is extremely difficult to manage multiple schools, in many different locations with thousands of learners.

Young children in under-privileged environments are not exposed to technology. Any platform would require an exceptional user experience.

Bamba Learn is an educational tablet app that was specifically designed for young learners between the ages of 2 and 6. The interface was crafted to ensure simplicity.

Bamba Learn ensures that age appropriate milestones are reached through rigorous performance monitoring through games. These games include a wide variety of educational puzzles, story books, numeracy activities, problem solving games, literacy, shapes, tracing, counting, letter and number recognition. The application ensures that no child is left behind by enabling stronger learners to work ahead and providing extra revision and repetition for weaker learners.
